Springer Nature’s Charitable Giving Initiative is a yearly commitment to supporting charitable efforts in the local communities where we operate.This year, Macmillan Education Namibia has donated €1,000.00 to the Side by Side Early Intervention Centre.

Situated in the heart of Goreangab, Side By Side is a registered NGO, established to provide comprehensive early intervention services to meet the unique needs of children with disabilities and to work with their families to create a holistic support system. In 2024, Side by Side helped over 700 children through their various development activities and programmes.

The donated funds will be used to support the Side by Side Daycare Centre, which offers rehabilitation services and healthy breakfast to 24 children from Monday to Friday, as well as to facilitate home visits and special school readiness program for children preparing to enter special needs school or mainstream school.

The Director of Side by Side, Huipie van Wyk, visited our offices to accept the donation personally.
